I took out a policy a few months ago as I have many valuable mobile objects. I insure an Ipad, a Bb Bold and a Nokia C7 (been told this C7 IS NOT INSURED!! after I definitely specified! - dont you record calls?!)
I asked what happens if I lose it etc... was told I only need to possess proof of ownership and if I am worried I may get valuation slips. Took pictures of everything I own and can get aff davits to back -up all my possessions.
Recently lost the Blackberry on a night out, phoned FFW and was told procedure includes needing the IMEI number - why was I NOT ASKED FOR THIS OR TOLD WHEN I TOOK OUT THE POLICY?! I honestly believed FFW did things differently and therefor I did not think to email those kinds of details, I had only been asked for model numbers and cell numbers. I have insured my S4 with a different company and they DID tell me straight away that I won't be covered unless IMEI number is provided FIRST. Why did FFW not ask for this IN THE BEGINNING?! Obviously if I have lost the phone I no longer possess such numbers!! Most people DO NOT KEEP BOXES!! The box is also missing
if FFW does NOT take RESPONSIBILITY for their utter incompetence my lawyer will be contac
