I have been a cell C customer for many years. Last weekend my son was mugged and my phone was. On Monday I called 140 to get the phone blacklisted. The call centre agent asked for the IMEI number and told me that there was no IMEI number that started with a 013 and couldn't help me and cut the call. No one called me back or tried to follow up.

So I drove 30 kilometers to Cell C at the Pavilion. The IMEI number was then accepted but without the 10 as it apparently should start with a 3! I was told that I would be emailed the next day (Tuesday) with an ITC number which I must then take to a police station and then submit the insurance form to Cell C.

This afternoon (Wednesday) I called 140 again to try to get the ITC number which hasn't been sent. Again I was told that the IMEI number didn't exist. I tried to explain to the agent that I had the box had a 10 in front of the IMEI number and he asked me to count the numbers. I told him there were 15 numbers and then the call was cut - again. I suppose I have to get in my car and again drive to Cell C to try to resolve this. Please Trevor Noah or whoever, can someone not help me with this problem?
