I actually was about to leave Sanlam for another company when they convinced me otherwise. I had my life insurance changed with them to be more suitable. Al the documents state that there is a REPLACEMENT of one policy for another.
Apparently the first policy as never cancelled, so for 4 months I payed for double insurance.
When I asked that they should refund the premiums, they are not willing.
To my honest knowledge this is not my fault and the broker should be blamed.
Now I wish I had moved my policies to another company!
