Absa Insurance - lack of service and no response

I lodged a claim with ABSA after our sliding door glass was accidentally broken in our home. I tried on numerous occasions to explain to the call centre that the claim was urgent as it will most probably rain later today and we did not want the claim to escalate into an even bigger claim as the rain could cause even more damage. My husband even spoke to his private banker who tried to assist but it seems as if the Insurance division could not be bothered. Should our claim therefore escalate into an even bigger claim than just the glass which I found out would only cost R 1949-40 incl fitting and VAT the responsibility will rest on the shoulders of ABSA and it's staff as they could not be bothered about the rain or subsequent damage which may occur as a result of bad weather. We tried to assist ABSA but obviously they don't share our concern when it comes to saving money on paying out claims. Good luck and godspeed to ABSA!
