I registered a claim with ABSA Home Owners Insurance almost 6 months ago for damage to my ceiling and wooden floor, due to a storm. Originally the claim was denied, I appealed, and the second assessor who came out agreed that the claim was valid, and reported as such.
After more than a month, ABSA finally approved the claim.
It has been almost 4 months since, and nothing has been done yet to repair the damage. I've sent them all the required paperwork, the contractors have come out to quote, but ABSA cannot be bothered to resolve this.
I've phoned probably 10 times, left numerous messages, and the agent dealing with it (Babs Struwig) simply doesn't return my calls. Today I phoned again, she promised to phone me back. 3 Hours later after no response, I phoned again, and asked for her manager, whose phone just rang while I held on for 6 minutes.
I'm sick of this now, ABSA, your service is pathetic!
