Banking costs extremely expensive

I've only had bad experiences with my husbands baking Absa, we are paying easily R400 when drawing money once, when I went to the bank and I have signing rights they can't help me change the savings account to a cheque account but when I phoned last week they wanted to do it over the phone for me, what is are you going to loose to much money when you change the savings account to a cheque, I am really discussing with Absa's service and service fees, and then we cant help you with a cheque account but we will open the internet banking for you, then there's something else you can pay for as well, you don't give a about your customers you just want their money, It's time to change my husbands bank I simply can't afford to bank with Absa any more, you can't work on a budget because if you look again the money's gone some admin or service fee for Absa. I will NEVER recommend Absa to anyone all our friends are advising us to get away from Absa they rob you
