I am absolutely appouled by the service i recieved from ABSA after nearly 10 years as their customer! i initially had a student cheque account, i went to the branch in Ghandi Squire to have the account changed to a normal cheque account thinking it would be changed to a Value bundle account. i then went to withdrow some money only to discover that i know suddenly had "insufficiant funds" i then printed out my statement thats when i got the shock of my life they charged me more than 500 on bank charges.
as if that wasint enough i then went to Absa in Braamfontein stiemens street to close the account and i was told i needed to pay an additional 133.98 to close the account. so in total i will be paying nearly 600 for bank charges. i am disgusted and dissapointed by Absa and their service this felt like a slap in the face! why must i pay an additional closure amount where as i have already been charged!
