I changed my savings account to a cheque account a couple of months ago but I am still getting small fees on the savings account after I asked if there will be any more charges once I change. I was told that I would only get charges if I used the card to make purchases or debits as I initially wanted to close the account but I was advised not to until all my debit orders were up-to-date. I want this account closed but now I am worried that if I close this account Absa will request the fees first.
