I approached the information counter at the Retail Park branch of ABSA on Tuesday morning, 16 April 2013. I needed to know how to obtain a replacement ABSA dividend cheque that went stale years ago. I expected the usual disinterested response that I have come to expect from most banks, particularly as I am not an ABSA client. Mrs le Riche (I think that is her surname) went out of her way and made numerous phone calls to obtain the correct information about the procedure to follow. I left with all the relevant information & contact details i need. She was interested in solving my problem and that is service rarely found anywhere today.
