I have been an ABSA client for 15 years. In the first week of June I applied for a further loan on my almost paid off bond.
More than a month later, no clear decision or answer from ABSA on why the funds have not been available to me. According to the consultant the loan has been approved but according to the attorneys they received the wrong instruction from ABSA due to my marital status.
Me and my ex wife have been divorced for 28 years but we decided that the property would stay on both of our names, for our childrens sake. ABSA did have this information and a proof of the divorce paper.
ABSA gave this information to the attorneys with all other relevant documents but there is a holdup on the attorneys side because they say they received the wrong instruction from ABSA.
7 Years ago, I applied for a loan and it was approved with the same information as now.
I have been calling both ABSA and the attorneys but no clear answer can be given to me on why there is a holdup.
