INCORRECT INFORMATION ON IT3 (b) TAX CERTIFICATE

I have received my IT3 (b) Tax certificate from ABSA bank with incorrect information. It has become a real challenge for me to get them to rectify this problem.

Basically, I have a Fixed Deposit account with ABSA and I earn interest on an annual basis. The interest earned is always declared to SARS for the specific Tax years. For Tax year ending February 2013, I noticed that ABSA had shown an incorrect interest earned under code 4201, on my Fixed deposit account.

The avenues that I have approached at ABSA to assist me are as follows:-
1. ABSA BANKS - BALLITO / LA LUCIA / STANGER
2. [Email Removed] / [Email Removed] / 08600 08600

None of the above have assisted me so far, with each passing on the responsibility to the next.
The consultants at two Absa banks were very confused, did not understand the IT3 (b) certificate and then decided to take the "safe route" and respond by agreeing with the contents of the Tax certificate. The third consultant has agreed with me that the contents were incorrect. This consultant is unsure what I can do as they have no idea how to contact the Tax certificate dept. at ABSA. I am now considering changing banks.
