10 min to open account, 2 months to close it

Try to close your credit card account at FNB. Firstly you can't do it on line. Open an account within 10 min online but impossible to close anything online. Physically go to a branch, follow the long list of papers that needs to be completed, signed, faxed, emailed, confirmed and emailed again. Then you will receive 3 phone calls from different call agents that apparently have no connection to one another to convince you to keep the account open. It has now been 2 (two) months since I completed all the paperwork. Each month they just deduct the monthly fee from your account. SURPRISE!! YOUR ACCOUNT IS STILL OPEN!! Called them on 7 (seven) different occasions. Each time I was told that the account is now closed and confirmation will be sent to me. Next month... SURPRISE!! YOUR ACCOUNT IS STILL OPEN!! "No sir, it takes 24 hours." 24 hours later. "No sir, it actually takes 48 hours." 48 hours later. "No sir, it actually takes 7 - 10 working days." How can FNB help me today? Close my account!! Bleepen bank!!
