Non closure of account

After numerous e-mails, visits to bank my account is still open. Now FNB wants to list me on the credit buro
for outstanding bank fees. The account was open on 4 Jan 2013 and instructions was given to close the account on 8 Jan 2013. I signed all paperwork for the closure of the account and was assured that account
will be closed and all debit order transfers will be stopped. It was not the case. Even after I saw the Manager
and was again assured that all will be closed, my account is still open!!! Today is 6 March 2013
