On Friday 10/01/2014 I visited the branch in the cbd to re activate my account. I brought with me my id and proof of residence. I was informed my the agent that they could not accept my proof of residence as it was only an application for municipal services. I informed them that I was still waiting for my first account but he municipality only posts accounts that are owing. I was told that I could not be helped. So I went to rhe the municipality and got a printed account. Back at capitec the manager informed me that they do not accept printouts. It must be posted or stamped. Went back to the municipality tobhave he account stamped. Back at capitec the branch manager informed me that sge could not accept the print out. I had to wait with my account frozen until an account was posted. I noticed a rica flyer in the desk an read emailed copies are accepted. I phoned the municipality and they emailed a copy to my cellphone. The capitec branch manager said that she could not accept an email until I showed her the flyer which stated tlan emailed printout is acceptable. Almost an hour later and many trips. I almost closed my account. Bad service.
