Unauthorised Credit Bureaux Enquiries

On the 13/01/2014, I received my annual credit report from Experian. Contained in the report is a list of credit providers that in the 24 months I have approached for credit. To my surprise in the last 24 months I have not approached anyone for credit and yet Absa ATM loans has been doing an enquiry some of which are a day apart.

I would like to know who authorised the credit enquries, why are there so many (15 in total)? I also expect all enquiries to be erased on the bureaux's records. Have contacted your call centre and was supplied with a reference number 2644022.

May I remind you that before any credit checks are done as per NCA you need my consent. I intend to take the matter through to the Credit Ombudsman if this is not resolved to my satisfaction. Also may I remind you that the Protection of Personal Information Act has been signed into law.
