Home Loan app 4 weeks and I can loose my house!!

I submitted my home loan application 4 weeks ago and still don't have an outcome. Everytime I phone they advise that they need something else, but not once did they sms, email or call me to advise that there is something they need. It is always me that has to follow up and push for answers. Then the status of the application went to 'not processing', when they couldn't confirm employment over the festive season, instead of just trying a day or so later again. Once again I only heard this when I contacted them. Then I needed a new employment contract again for my husband as he moved jobs. I sent this through and contacted them a day later again, just to find out that they now need a Standard Bank consultant to fill in a reinstatement form as it was 'not proceeding'. Why was I not told of this in Friday when I contacted them advising that I had submitted the documents. I have been promised on numerous occasions to be given feedback by various consultants and not one of them came back to me. NOW the reinstatement is going to take 3 working days, which may result in me loosing my dream home. No one is willing to jump and make things happen. I'm so frustrated and at a loss
