I lodged a homeowners insurance claim with ABSA end of November. I honestly believe the service they give to their clients could be rated the worst in the country.
Since I started I am now on the 5th number to call just to get hold of a consultant. I sit hours on hold trying to get through to these peoples. I try and phone them daily. If I do I get through eventually I get a promise that I will be contacted in 48 hours. This never happens.
I have vehicle insurance with OutSurance and my claim was submitted the same day as the Absa claim and it was closed and completed within a week.
It is now almost 1.5 months later and I am still trying to contact ABSA Insurance.
It is a shame that a big bank like ABSA can allow their service standards to drop almost on par with Telkom.
