Absa claims department (0860147147) told me they will get back to me within 24-48 hours. It has now been more than a week with no action on my claim 2469677. The previous claim i had with absa was not paid out due to the cost being too low. I removed a broken tree hanging into my neighbours yard for 2500 rand and tried claiming it back from them to no avail. I spent 140000 rand in the last three years on that house in maintenance and damage repairs. Absa insurance paid out a measely 10000 rand. What is the use of a homeowners insurance? I want to move both my bond as well as my insurance from absa. Worst service in the entire planet.
