I registered a claim with ABSA home insurance last week Thursday the 28th of November 2013. They sent me an sms with my reference number and explaining that they will get back to me within 48 hours. No one has contacted me. I tried to call them 4 times already and I hold on for almost 50min at a time but no one answers the phone. It is not my responsibility to call them THEY are suppose to call me...
Our house is still without lights as the lightning burnt one or two circuits and this is almost for a week now. I managed to get hold of ABSA Insurance brokers and they just tell me that the insurance claims department is very busy an that I should continue holding on UNTIL someone answers the phone...
Very bad service and I will definitely change my Home insurance to another competent insurance company.
