I have never dealt with a more incompetent bunch of people in my life! My debit date is for around the 27th when I used to receive my salary and since I have been retrenched I have made sure I have money in my account for the debit order from Capitec is available in my account a day or two before the date. Today, 13 December my last R400 was debited from account with no notification from Capitec. I must have called the call centre about 9 times and used well over R100 on airtime on the phone calls to try and have the funds reversed as I had not budgeted for this. No one knew what was going on there, I was told by customer care to contact the collections department and then told by the collections department to contact customer care and this went on for most the day. I was intentionally put on hold for ages by Candice since she was obviously not impressed at how irate I was and then I was reprimanded by Nomfefe who had no idea what she was talking about. Eventually I received sms notification that the funds were reversed into my Capitec card but then only R360 was available! My boyfriend has had endless problems with them debiting him before his pay date too.
