My vehicle was financed with Wesbank since January 2011, subsequently the finance period came to a close after the last debit on the 3rd of December 2013 and the debit amount was supposed to be a reduced amount as per the final settlement figure however I was debited as per the normal order amount. I called Wesbank on Tuesday after noticing that the debit order had ran incorrectly for the full amount, a call centre agent looked at my account and confirmed that this had been run in error and I would be refunded within 48 hours. On Thursday afternoon when I noticed that this refund did not take place I called Wesbank yet again and another agent contested that the transaction was refunded into my account so I immediately checked my account online. Since I bank with FNB the transaction should reflect immediately, so I downloaded a statement and emailed it to [Email Removed] which indicated that the refund did not happen. I called Wesbank's call centre again and spoke to a supervisor who then went to the refunds dept only to advise that he cannot help as the dept was away at a function and Wesbank will not be able to do the refund as nobody was available to authorize this!
