Standard Bank
The Unwillingness to help

I had a standard bank loan which was way overdue. I had a call from a credit rehabilitation person and I explained that I have a problem and I can afford to pay R200 for the next 2 months and will try to settle by January or February. I had a Dentist appointment on Saturday 30/11/13 which I did not go to due to there being no funds left in my bank account. When I did an enquiry I was told that the amount of - R1477. was taken out of my account as a debit order. I do understand that I was wrong in not paying my loan but I did not do it intentionally and before I ended my call to the agent I did say R200 is whatI can afford and I will call them again as well. After enquiries at the Phoenix Plaza the lady advised me to call the loan department. I asked the gentleman that I spoke to if he can please keep the R200 and return the balance to me as I am in need of that amount he said to me that there is nothing that can be done for me. I do understand terms and conditions but if we don't have what do we do? I am in so much of pain due to my tooth that is troubling me plus I am a single parent. I did not ask them, not to take the money but it's the Festive season.
