Standard Bank
Rehabilitation means nothing to Standard Bank

I was rehabilitated in December 2011. Because the link with Experian to Standard Bank I was granted a cheque account without any credit facilities with the understanding that I starting over now and need to built up a credit score with the bank in order to apply for a home loan. I have recently learned that my application for a home loan was declined because Standard Bank was unable to overwrite their own system not granting the loan due to the Rehabilitation order on itc, Experian. Only when that rehabilitation order is removed from itc i will be able to apply for a homeloan at Standard Bank. It takes five years before it will be removed from itc. I sincerely hope our other banks does not have the same systems in pace. Rehabilitation means nothing to Standard Bank.
