Standard Bank
Standard bank not willing to assist after divorce

I am desperately trying to get my home loan changed to my name after a divorce. After going to Standard bank Northgate on 4 occasions during September and October I finally spoke to the branch manger and I was helped. Standard bank said no problem I filled in my forms gave them the court order from the divorce. After no feedback from the Branch or Home Loan division I phoned to follow up just to be advised that it has been declined. Due to affordability. I have been paying this property since 2011 by my self not missing one instalment. My income statement together with ITC record is clean and I can afford to pay the property. Seems that if you keep on paying they could not care and leaving me vulnerable to third party claim from the other person that does not stay there and does not contribute. What will Standard bank do if something like that happens give away my property to settle the debts? They talk of being a bank for you as a client and to help YOU... what a joke. Standard bank (Benjamin) response "you need to get a person to have a dual application maybe a sister or family member" not solving the problem just putting me back in the same boat with somebody else
