On 30 October 2013 I went to the Bedford Centre Branch of Standard Bank to return a debit order which was taken off my account without right. I cannot remember the lady who dealt with my request, but I filled everything in to get my money back. She never gave me anything as a reference, I also did not know she was supposed to, and told me that it would take 48 hours for the money to be back in my account. Since then, nothing has been deposited back into my account. I called the call centre on Friday 08 November 2013 in the afternoon, and the gentleman I spoke to told me that the system was off, so I dropped the call after receiving a reference number from him. On 13 November 2013, I called the call centre again as I really got fed up. I spoke with a kind lady by the name of Giselle who helped me trace the whole thing, only to find out that no reversal of any debit order of any sort has gone through. She then helped me by doing the reversal herself. This is not my first time having a major problem with Standard Bank, but it most certainly is the last. Is this what Customer Service has been reduced to, not doing anything to help the client?
