I bought a BMW X3 earlier this year and decided to take out the scratch and dent insurance. I have a small scratch on my door and have been trying for the past 3 months to get this claim approved and the scratch repaired. I have to phone on a weekly basis, but it never gets resolved. Not sure if the problem with BMW or the service provider, but I think it is BMW's responsibility to take accountability for this claim and at least follow up with me on the progress of the claim. It sounded like a good option - taking out this insurance, but it turrns out to be very ineffective.
