CC deregistered, ABSA refuses to close account

A few months ago I was asked to FICA my bank account. On arrival I was told that the Cc was deregistered.
Since then numerous amounts was mistakenly paid into that account.
When I tried to close the account I was told I can't. I had the CK 1 with me that the Cc was deregistered and I am the owner of the defunkt entity.
I opened a account with the bank and want ro close it. They refuse.
Please help
