After being robbed at home and cleared out of all electronic equipment and small appliances I, for the first time in 18 years, put in a claim through the brokers. I was informed that if the claim was less than R35000.00, they would pay me out directly. If more, they would have to send an assessor out. I submitted a list with all items and most invoices for these items. It was more than R35000. The underwriting insurance company assessor called and came out. No problem with the assessor, she was most professional and constantly kept me in the loop. There was a problem with the policy schedule, so she referred me back to Fnb Brokers. After telling them my story I was basically fobbed off and told they had listened to the recording from 7 years ago, and someone would be contacting me. My complaint is, that no-one has ever contacted me. I have been phoning every day since last week Monday. The person whom I dealt with to start with is never available and never returns my calls, even though I am always assured that she will. There is also no-one else that the receptionist can refer me to. I'm not impressed with their service after so many years of paying premiums, claim free.
