I switched my bank account to fnb in May 2013, received a SMS my card is at the George branch, I had to bring I'd and proof of residence, got an SMS congratulating me on picking up my new card and welcomed me to the bank, I then had to activate my card wich I phoned the card division, however they never switched my accounts. I went to the branch on Tuesday the 22nd of October 2013 to find out what my account details were and whether the account is active, to wich the lady replied yes and gave me a print out of my new account no etc. I notified my comp for my salary and I've changed my banking details at all the relevant institutions. I received a in contact message stating that R1731.20 were paid into my account from medical aid, when I accessed the account on the 30th October 2013, it reflect a - R100 in my account, it took me half a day to find out my account was blocked because I need to show the consultant proof of address, how ever you do not get your card if you do not show the consultant your I'd and proof of address. Wich u did in June 2013 allready, and now everybody at the George branch is just saying sorry! 5 months and account is still not open. Shocking
