First National Bank - NO REPSPONSE!!!

I had a credit card with FNB at least 8-9 years ago, but I closed this account more than 6 years ago. No communication at all until July 2013 ago when I was contacted by a firm stating that I had been handed over for non-payment,
This was news to me so I have been trying to contact FNB to get the documents re this credit card - how can I be expected to pay when I have no proof from FNB of the account and the amount owing. THERE HAS BEEN NO REPONSE - 8 e-mails and 2 phone calls later and I am still in the dark.
While I have had to agree to pay the collection firm (with no response from FNB interest was being added to the "due" amount), getting no response from FNB is completely unacceptable. Next stop - banking ombudsman!
