November of last year I recieved a call from Standard Bank stating that I had an outstanding amount still owing on my Credit Card, I asked the lady I was speaking to that if I settled the amount if they would take me off ITC, and she replied yes. I settled the amount as requested, but last month I had a credit report done which stated that I was 8 months in default with payments. I did some research that says I can still be under judgement for two years, but they (Standard Bank) have to notify ITC that I was paid up (completed), which they did not do, due to this, my credit rating is very bad, and considering that I paid this amount almost 6 months ago, I find this very unacceptable. I had arrears on another banks credit card as well and when I paid that I was immediately removed from ITC according to my credit report. And then everyone wants to know why I switched to another bank? Promises made on a recorded phone call that was not kept. I also still have the proof of payment with me.
