Good Day,
I was a ABSA client for many years and decided to open a cheque account with FNB last year Feb, i closed my transactional account with ABSA as i thought FNB offers better value for money, although i kept my ABSA credit card and did not want one at FNB at that stage.
I visited the FNB branch 19/03/2013 to update my details and was told i qualify for a credit card, i thought oky this is probably better to take one at the bank i am currently banking with, i got all the needed documents to complete the application. I was offered two options, 1. Take up a credit card with FNB, 2. To do a switch deal. As i believed its going to be rapid i took the switch deal due to not wanting more than one credit card.
I have proof on the pre-agreement where i signed to give them permission to SETTLE ABSA onto my credit card account. I was told this would take place withing 36hours after card is activated. Well its 13 days later, the credit card was activated upon collection 1st March 2013. I made numerous phone calls and nobody was able to help me, even sent a FEW emails and got one response where i was told they never received the SWITCHING APPLICATION.
Please sort this out,
Regards
