2nd Query in less than 3 months regarding ABSA bank, this time, their Mortgage loans department. I phoned to request that debit order date be changed from 1st to the 24th of every month. Tebogo on 0860 111 007 tells me that I cannot change the date because the 24th is closer and therefore I agreed that deductions be made on 1st and again on 24th November i.e, 1st is the previous date that I have been using and the 24th is the new date. Tebogo tells me that ABSA system does not allow for the 24th November to be loaded now. I have to wait for the 1st November debit order to go through first and phone AGAIN after this date so that ABSA can load the 24th of every month. Really??? I replied that if the system does not allow future date to be loaded then it means the date can be changed to 24th October as it looks like their system reads what is loaded at date of debit order. Tebogo said, ABSA can't do that. When I started to question Tebogo regarding this and if she can send me something in writing stating that I can only phone after the 1st to change the debit order date, she put the phone down on my ear. This is really pathetic service hence I closed my credit card from ABSA!
