Do not insure your smart device with FNB

I bought and insured my smart device with FNB around 2013/02. Recently my smart device was damaged beyond repair as per report by Paragon Computers the assigned repair company by FNB. The insurer acknowledged that they will honor my claim and paid out the insured amount. After begging them for days they send me a Agreement of Loss, but the insured amount and the settlement amount with FNB are both wrong.

For the past week they are ignoring my daily emails and when I phone them they keep on passing the buck and always promise to call me back but they never do.

To date it was a HUGE effort just to get the Agreement of Loss from them and now it seems it is a impossible task to discuss the agreement with them so that they can correct the amounts. At this stage I feel it is a better option to write off the money.

Please do not insure your smart device with FNB.
