Cant apply for a new smart device!

I had a smart device account loaded to my Platinum cheque account. I have enquired if I settle my smart device early if there would be a possibility to apply for a new device on my account. I did an early settlement which FNB charged me more instead of charging me less which was fine. only to find out after applying for the new device that my application wasn't successful. I've been banking with FNB for years more than ten years im sure. I have a platinum cheque account, I haven't missed a payment on my previous smart device. Why was I then granted the first smart device then. If I knew that FNB would decline my application for a new device after settling the first device then I wouldn't have wasted my money to settle the first one. Absolutely shocked and totally disappointed in FNB and not just because of this but many other reasons. this I think is just the last straw and I will be moving my accounts elsewhere where they actually value their customers
