Trying to close account since June

Hi,

Moved to UK 7 years ago. Kept account open for last debit orders and xmas presents. Want to close accounts now as keep having to fund to cover fees.

First email sent 6/6 - no response, re-sent 25/6 - no response. Called 26/6 and was asked to send again. Finally got response and contact. After some discussion requested forms to close account.

Forms requested 26/6, requested again 15/7, requested again 22/8 - finally got response and forms on 23/8!!!

Sent forms via courier (Because Nedbank does not accept scanned docs, even if I am abroad) at a cost of R900! Confirm arrived last Friday 11/10. I specifically requested in the cover letter to ACKNOWLEDGE receipt. Nothing!

Sent email earlier this morning - no response so far.

In the meantime the fees are deducted form my account (and my wifes account, which we also requested to be closed). I have been charged for a Debit Card which, for obvious reasons, I cannot collect.

I now have to think of funding the accounts for the next set of fees. It will cost me more in commission and transmission fees to send the money than the actual amount I will be sending.

What do I have to do to close an account
