Being charged R600 in fees for a closed account

Early this year I went into the Standard Bank Long Beach Mall to close my Standard Bank account after a long history of bad service, I had had enough.
I paid my accounts in full to the day and moment and filled out all the forms and although the service was shocking, I was happy I had managed to move on.

Two weeks ago I had the misfortune of needing to go back to Standard Bank to get printed statements to prove a paid account to find out that they have over R600 in fees and charges against my old account because they have not closed the account as requested.
(Not to mention the cost of printing the statements was less than the legal bill to solve the problem without the statements).
Now I want to have that R600 deducted without having to pay but I can't because I did not keep the close-out forms. What can I do??? I can't find anyone to help me.
