In October 2012 I requested at Absa Ghandi square to close my credit card account. The retention department requested in return to please not close the account and are willing to waive my fees for a period of six months. Now that I am AGAIN trying to close that account, I find unpaid debit order fees on the account, and have to settle the account before I can close the account. I find this unacceptable as I requested to close this account more than six months ago (and haven't used it since) and now have to pay unpaid fees.
