Refusal to return my aunt's money

My aunt's stepson passed away a few months ago and she read her stepsons letters showing arrears on his credit card, she unwittingly paid an installment of R250 and R1000 on the credit card, only to find out later that it is not her responsibility to pay back the outstanding amount.

She then tried to recoup her money from Absa, she spoke to Nomzamo who asked her to bring all the documents (death certificate, I.D copies, Medical Certificates etc.), which she did. Nomzamo then told her that her money would be returned to her on the 12th of August in her Nedbank Account but the money was never deposited. She then went back to Absa on the 10th of October and Nomzamo now told her that she wouldn't be paid back because the credit card is in arrears.
