Charged incorrectly-credit record ruined

In October the 27th October on a sunday I was mugged and all my cards, same day i called absa stop card to block my card, which telephonically was confirmed to have been blocked. Then in november i receive calls telling me am owing R 2129.20 which came to my surprise because i have not utilised the credit card in the month of oct and november uo to the 20th. i queried and there was performed on my account after stoping my card of R1, 239.00 which accumulated arrears, in november on the 20th i paid r3000 and spent R1747 in total, in actuall fact i was suppose to still have a surplus on my account, i lodged a call for them to fix the credit card and they only refunded the R1239.00 and my credit card is still showing in arrears of R 1, 667.68, how so? if 3 % is my montly instalment from the amount outstanding? the only month that was not paid was December as there was still an investigation, a lday from absa called me and she was not of assistance, she says if i pay on the 20th the bank does not recognise my payment, i should pay on the 28th? i am utterly irritated with the service and my credit record is ruined for what? currently my balanace is R 12, 397.52-, i need ths fixed
