I am an employee for Aon South Africa, and last year they gave me a good fair quote which I accepted and moved my policy to them. 10 months later I receive an email from Auto and General and not even Aon themselves with a 25% increase in my premium.
Phoning and asking why it increased so much they decreased it from 25% to 20% increase. Getting other quotes I was able to get the exact same policy for a 0% increase on my current premiums. When sending this to back to Aon this is the response I received.
"Unfortunately the discount they allocated to your policy was the maximum discount allowed for this year."
This is the furtherest from a valued customer I can currently feel. There is no intention of trying to keep me on as a customer.
I was hoping to not move my insurance, but if there is nothing they can do as per their emails, I might have to take my business elsewhere.
