I noticed a 29% increase in the monthly premium on my home owners policy. When i investigated further I see there is a 6.99% increase in my insured value. I called Outsurance for an explanation and was told it is an "inflation increase" I protested and was told it was because I made a claim against the policy, the premium goes up by 15% - This still does not add up to the 29% increase and I was unable to get a satisfactory explanation from the call centre staff about the difference.
I will move my insurance policy shortly after this experience.
