I needed to surrender a Policy with Old Mutal, two weeks ago, I took the relevant documents to the Cresta branch, only to find that my policy applicaation which I had done telephonically had incorrect details. The person that took down my details changed my id number from 760229 to 7600301 (for what reason I am not sure) on advice from Onica, then provided her with a police affidavit to prove my id number and then faxed through my divorce papers to show that i had reverted to my maiden name. she assured me that all the documents were in order and that payment would be made early this week. I waited till Wednesday this week and called as the money was not in my account she said that she needed to submit one more document and that i would have my money the next day. Still no money on calling the branch again I find that the application was rejected because she didnt submit the documents. i find this highly annoying and i need this to be sorted out immediately. at the moment there is no one in the branch that is able to assist me.
What is frustrating is that money could be deducted from my bank account with wrong id details and now i cannot get MY OWN money back...
