Someone opened and MTN contract account with my details in November 2012. When the first 2 debit orders went off my account, i went to MTN shop in Cresta - Next to wimpy 6 weeks ago, to find out, when i got there one guy asked me to go to the police station to get an affidavit, certified copy of my ID which i did, i submitted these to the very same guy. He scanned the documents and send them through while i was in store, he even gave me a reference number to check the progress on my case with. Last friday i went to check the progress of my case, only to find that nothing was sent. I therefore tried phoning the MTN dept., to open a case with them, they then asked me to go back to the police station to open a case and submit the case number, affidavit, certified ID. The police told me in order to get me a case number they need the scene of the crime - branch in which the contract was opened, which noone at MTN is refusing to tell me.

The case has been giong on for while now, and its a pity no one is offering to help me. I've been trying to phone the MTN departments without any success, but i've been refered to one dept. after the other.

Please assist me.
