Can not give emergency notice on account online

I urgently require funds from my 32 day notice account. I can log online and give notice on the account with no problems, have done this in the past. Now, i urgently require funds and am unable to go into a branch to do this. What is the point of having internet / telephone banking channels? I was told by two consultants that its because they cant authorize this, but i can give normal notice online? Does not make sense to me. Why can i not do this over the phone or via internet banking? I am aware that there is a fee associated with drawing before 32days, but seriously?? I need to go into a bank to this?? come one, this is the 21st century, why bother having internet banking when you have to go into the bank?
