In this week I opened a saving account at standard bank n1 city. im an FNB customer.
as the consultant is helping me I ask her about the account fees and so on.
I remembered telling her that I will need the account mostly to do online payments and she tells me its R4 when ever I used online banking to pay.
everything is done and I walk out a happy customer, until I get home and log onto internet banking, I the discover my internet banking limit is R0.00, so I phone the online banking call centre and they inform me that they cannot help me I need to visit my nearest branch.
what I don't understand is i was in the bank, i did mention that im using the account mostly for internet payments, they why did the consultant not inform me THEN that i need to set my limit at the branch??
i then would have done that as i was there!!!
Now its going to cost me again to drive back to the bank, which is a real inconvenience as i don't have the time on my hands to sit in a bank!!!
i feel this is bad service from standard bank and the consultant.
