On Monday 30/09/2013 my salary was withdrawn from my debit account.
After trying to withdraw money the following day I found out that there was no
Money in my account. I went straight to the Braamfontein Branch to find out what happened.
After waiting for 2 hours I finally spoke to a consultant who laughed at me when I
Told her that my money was, she said that it was such a small ammount and
That I should be grateful that it wasn't more. I'm a student and waitress the money I earn maybe
Little to some but it was meant to pay my rent. She then gave me a number to report the crime to
And issued me a new card. Afterwards my parents managed to deposit some money in my
Account so I can buy food, when I went to withdraw the money I found out that standard bank
Had removed R100 in admin fees. To add to the problem I've been sitting and waiting to speak
To a wait for an hour to speak to a consultant at their call centre just for her to tell me with an attitude to just wait. I've become so fed up now. I don't have money to buy food or even for transport to college and work.
My employee has fired me since because it takes me long to walk to work and I was late.
