I visited the Sunninghill branch on 1october at 10:50am 2013 wanting to reverse a debit order I was greeted by Stanley Mzame I explained to him what I wanted to do and he told me I can't do it and I must come back tomorrow. I asked him why because previously I had been there enquiring about reversing a debit order and the lady explained to me that as soon as it reflects on my statement I can reverse it so I asked him which is which as he's giving me a different story. He insisted on telling me to come back tomorrow without actually giving me a full explanation.
I asked him for his name and he told me "Can't I read or do I need glasses" As I walked away I could hear him uttering complaints, for a frontline service assistant to utter such a statement to a customer is SHOCKING and DISGUSTING I have never been spoken to a bank employee in that manner before.
In this day and age when consumers have got options to bank with other banks and competition is rife amongst the banks it only takes one individual to damage the brand and what it stands for.
