I have had to move my bank account from standard bank to another bank, due to irregularities which even the bank manager at durban north branch can not explain! how is it possible that a bank card can be skimmed within 24 hrs of being issued? regardless, on going to the bank and being unable to resolve the issue i walked across the road and opened an account at a better bank, since then i had the insurance department phone me every second day offering life insurance for 2 weeks at least, the customer assist departments for the overdraft and personal loan calling me once a week, every time i have requested someone call me with regards to consolidating my overdraft and revolving credit in to my home-loan, and i am still waiting, i believe the calls are recorded so its just shoddy service, i work Monday to Saturday so can not go to a branch. i can not call the call centre as i have to use my cell which costs me money (obviously i cant afford to do this) and i will not be able to hold for 20 mins, until someone is able to feel like answering the call... for a client who was with std for 10 years this should be a concern! as i will let people know about the service i had!
