I have been a Standard Bank customer for the last 5-7 years.. I am so disgusted by my last bank statement. I have a cheque account (elite plus) - NOT A CREDIT CARD!!! But am being charged overdraft and honoring fees! If i don't have the money- I DON'T WANT TO SPEND IT!!! Hence the reason for declining your credit card offer!!! Calling the Call Center the lady informs me it was an unauthorized overdraft - therefore i did not authorize this and cannot believe that this is even allowed to go through.
If i swipe and there is no money in my account... it should say insufficient funds - NOT GO INTO OVERDRAFT!!!
I have NEVER had this issue with my card so am wondering why on earth now?
